Everyone passes through the age of adolescence. At this stage,
the individual begins to think about his or her own self and also
about the future. It is a high time of growing. There is no more
dependency on the parents. It is a stage where a person is capable
of taking care of themselves, and also of others.
A teenager loves to do various activities at this stage of life,
and dating is one such activity. Because of dating, young boys and
girls are able to get familiar with different personalities. They
are able to observe one another under diverse situations.
Dating also has various other advantages, such as having a good
time with a person you adore, and being socially accepted. One gets
a time to share views with that someone special in their life
during dating.
There are a number of things which a teenager remains doubtful
about when he or she begins to date. Obviously the very first date
leads to the rising of both excitement, as well as much
nervousness.
There are no specific dating rules and regulations for Christian
singles. But there are certain instructions given in the Bible that
a Christian is expected to fulfill.
Sometimes a question mark is put against dating situations due to
the choices of places and recreation methods. The beginning of a
relationship can be made really well, if a chosen date shares the
same moral standards and values that are possessed by the other
person. It must always be remembered while on a date, that both of
you are normal human beings, with human desires. These desires are
made to bring joy and fulfillment, but God has put limitations on

considered as a sin.
According to Christian dating rules, it is not recommended to go
alone on a date very often. This is because isolation makes it easy
for Satan to do his job. He can easily break you down. That is why
double dating is advised. It really proves helpful in prolonged as
well as steady dating. Time, and increasing familiarity with the
person, can force you to break down your defenses.
In the case where there is a mutual respect, then there will not be
any such desire, as they both will be aware of their limitations.
Always remember that mutual understanding is a two way street.
Instead of going into the very details, the only thing that
teenagers are required to keep in mind is that dating is essential,
but it also constitutes only a small part of total life. It is very
similar to icing, which is important but only in a small quantity.
Frequent dating will be very much like a cake with too much
icing.
So youngsters should live their life, but dating must be kept in
balance. This is so that it does not intervene with your duties
towards God and your commitments towards your family, school and
also to yourself.
